Wade Lee
Jorgensen
Jun 6, 1959 — Oct 10, 2024
Dover
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wade Lee Jorgensen, age 65, on October 10, 2024, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born June 6, 1959, in Estherville, Iowa, to Wayne Richard and Carmen Marlene Brandt Jorgensen.
A beloved husband, brother, son, father, grandfather and best friend, Wade's life was a testament to love, adventure, and connection. He had an infectious spirit that brought joy to everyone around him. He and his sister, Sonja, shared a bond that was unbreakable, navigating life together as inseparable companions. This companionship grew to the "incredible four" as you never saw Wade, Beth, Sonja and Robert apart. They worked as one unit, one brain and they had the greatest friendship. Family was his greatest love, and he dedicated himself to nurturing those relationships.
Wade embraced every adventure life had to offer, whether working on the family farm, spending time with the greyhounds, or building projects alongside his brother-in-law, Robert. He had a natural way of bringing people together, never meeting a stranger and always eager to share stories and laughter with those around him.
His love for his granddaughters knew no bounds, and he was excited to welcome his first grandson this coming November. Wade's legacy of love and adventure will forever resonate in their hearts.
Wade is preceded in death by his loving parents, Carmen and Wayne Jorgensen.
Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Beth Jorgensen, his sister and brother-in-law, Sonja and Robert Green, his children; Amanda and Chris Ebner, Dakota Rupe, and Jordan and John McDaniel; his niece, Britni Green and Mitch Stalans; and his cherished grandchildren, Kaeli and Riley Carew, and Abigail and Lexie Ebner, and soon to arrive, Lonnie McDaniel.
He will be deeply missed by his family and countless friends who knew him as the greatest friend anyone could have.
Friends are warmly invited to gather with the family to reminisce and share memories at the Farmhouse on Saturday afternoon.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Michael Galloway officiating, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Burial will be private for the family in North New Hope Cemetery at a later date.
