William George Jackson Sr., age 85, of Russellville, died Saturday, November 30, 2024, at his home. He was born June 25, 1939, in Little Rock, to John Henry and Dorothy Jackson.

He was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ since 1980.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Beavers Jackson; four brothers; two sisters; two children; and one grandson.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William George Jr. and Sharon Jackson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Fena Mae Jackson, Bertha Mae and Anthony Oliver and Landa and Matthew Cartlidge; a brother, Morris Jackson; four sisters, Joyce Anderson, Cynthia Jackson-Carter, Bell Henderson and Sue Jackson-Enoch; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ with Pastor Kenneth Thompson officiating.  Burial will be in Reed Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Isiah Jackson, Rashad Jackson, Jacob Oliver, Cole French, Jacobi French, Michael Ross, William Thomas and Reggie Lockhart.
