William "Bill" Linton Jr., age 73, of Scottsville, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born May 30, 1948, in Russellville, to William Love Sr. and Mildred Lois Wallace Linton.

Bill was a proud graduate of Hector High School and Arkansas Tech University. He served in the Army National Guard for six years.

During his thirty-five years as a loan officer for Farm Credit Services, he loved serving his customers and treated them like family. After retiring, Bill was elected to the Farm Credit Services Board of Directors where he served two terms.

Bill was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Dover. He was a member of the local antique car club. An avid hunter and fisherman, Bill loved the outdoors and farm life. He was a devoted father and husband and an adoring grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Joyce Linton Miller.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Dale Linton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Jamie Linton, and Russell and Amanda Linton; a daughter and son-in-law, Debby, and Justin Ferguson; a brother-in-law, Del Miller; six grandchildren, Kylee, Jace, Nora, Will and Jake Linton, and Bradley Ferguson; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Dover First Baptist Church, with Dr. Jeff Paxton and Pastor Sandy Taylor officiating, with burial in Langford Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Monday, at the funeral home.
